The Five Horns are the traditional symbol for all things draconic. When found in white, they are Eer'Kalla's infamous banner of ultimate evil.
White Draconic Effect for Adherents: You may increase either bSTR, bDEX, bCON, bSPD, or bINT by 1. Your trauma factor is increased by a value equal to your number of Attributes.
“There is no choice for your kind - no penance, no call back to salvation. You did not fall from righteousness - you have always been fallen. Even in life, you serve death. Serve, then, with gladness, that which owns you. Pain has meaning for those who accept their brokenness, and they shall earn a place in our greater order.” -Archon-B’Dehloogma, the Great One
Though identical in its foundation to Red Draconic philosophy, the teachings of the white dragons differ greatly in their conclusions. White dragons hold that mortals are fated to ultimately follow the evil nature of Phonoss, and that Soh’Tareeoss is effectively futile. Since dragons believe that all beings should follow their true natures, white philosophy holds that mortals should pursue Phonoss with great fervency, thus fulfilling their natural place in the universe. This philosophy is understandably unpopular, but those who follow it are incredibly dangerous.
Followers of white philosophy share the structured lifestyle of their red counterparts, but their efforts are channeled into destruction and corruption rather than the pursuit of righteousness. While there is no codified list of "virtues," various white dragons are known to focus their own groups of acolytes on such ideas as Desolation, Reordering, Despisement, Catastrophe, Enmity, Strife, Vengeance, Deception, Fear, Destruction, and Grief (for more details, see Dragon Lore). Unlike the widely-admired reds, it is exceedingly rare to find white adherents that are not actual acolytes in the service of a white dragon.
White acolytes looking for converts tend to focus their efforts on the disenfranchised and traumatized outskirts of Lur-Asko society. Although fulfilling Phonoss is an ultimate end, the philosophy embraces the full spectrum of ways in which such an end can appeal to other goals. Conversion rarely begins with the preaching of malice or cruelty; many followers are drawn by the promise of certainty and structure, or a sense of belonging and validation after feeling discarded by society. Others seek refuge from ceaseless guilt, via the comforting doctrine that all was fated by their nature; in escaping the impossible and never-ending struggle for redemption, they seem to find a pseudo-redemption of a deeper sort. Still others are tempted to embrace Phonoss as a gateway to power, vengeance, wealth, or just to be on the winning side of the suffering that Phonoss inflicts upon the world. The dragons teach that pain has purpose, and that through discipline and obedience, one can transcend the life of a broken or desperate soul in a confusing world. Instead, one becomes a meaningful instrument in an ancient and powerful order.
Criticisms of White Draconic philosophy are wide and numerous, though many see them as simply beyond reason. In turn, white adherents have little interest in defending their stance - in their view, all sentient beings already serve death, and rarely need to be converted in order to manipulate. When white efforts require greater manpower than simple conversion and manipulation can provide, Eer'Kalla's breeding of the Hellborn makes up the difference.
