Propwings     The first propeller-driven winged aircraft, or propwings, were invented by the Wynthian Republic circa 800 AFA. The knowledge of their construction was brought to Lur-Asko by the Manusian refugees, and subsequently improved using additional Alacrian technology. Produced in Manusia and subsequently copied by Hal'Tayatic merchants, propwings are the most affordable type of aircraft - hardly a minor advantage considering the massive price tag of the other types. Still, propwings suffer from an inability to hover, and thus a dependence on landing fields.

Pilot Competence     If the pilot of a propwing lacks competence in propwings, they can still operate the vehicle, but with the following effects:
-The pilot must roll d12 on INT to take off. If failed, the aircraft immediately follows the rules for a crash landing.
-The pilot cannot attack or strafe.
-The vehicle's travel speed is reduced to 2/3.
-Every landing, even on well-prepared airfields, must follow the rules for a crash landing. Any time the pilot would normally be required to make a crash landing, the aircraft is destroyed instead.

Takeoff Run & Minimum Speed     Propwings will list a takeoff run of either short or long. Short indicates that the aircraft can land in many areas; though not as versatile as a hovering aircraft, the propwing requires only a short distance for landing or takeoff. Such areas can usually be found in any terrain that would qualify as Terrain Ease 3 or greater (see Travel). Long indicates that the aircraft can only land on city airfields, major roads, long stretches of minor roads, or certain wide-open areas (that is, only TE5 or certain areas of TE4).
Because propwings must always be moving, they cannot move at SC0. Their SPD must always be greater than 20.
